Badass Misty Knight

Recently, I read a comic about what I thought would be the best tie in for the Marvel universe to include an Afro American character. The woman is named Misty Knight and for the life of me I cannot understand why she isn’t in more episodes. Her story stems from a risky job, which was being a New York City Bomb Detective; to a grueling life juggling love and super-abilities. Her character is both strong and beautiful, which is why I needed to give her a little coverage.Mistyknight0.png Her story immediately takes a sharp turn when her arm is blown off due to a terrorist bomb and she’s forced to leave her job, and her once normal life. Misty is then left in the care of Charles Xavier where she rooms with Jean Grey and receives a Cybernetic arm courtesy of Iron Man.

arms.pngMisty fights to the death in battles and is so fierce that she has even beaten Sabertooth! She fought and had a draw with Ironfist, which resulted in them seeing each other in a different light. The two started dating. Their relationship was rocky at best, which led to her on-again-off-again relationship with Powerman aka Luke Cage. Luke Cage is being picked up by Netflix right now and will begin running shortly……so go catch it! Hahaha I couldn’t resist.

If you’re into comic books, Marvel, or sexy women comic figures dressed in scantily clad suits, like Misty, then you should check out WorldofBlackHeroes or  BlackGirlNerds for more of her story.

I was so moved by this character that I decided to make a little video on her life story. I am placing it on Youtube so that maybe more will learn something and gain strength in themselves. With that being said…..heres a link to the video.   Afro Girls Need Love Tooooo Thanx!

Who’s America is this?

“My Rights”

I’m raising my hand because I don’t understand. Please teacher I have a question.
You know whatever I have to say will tear away the fabric that you try to mask over our eyes.

You don’t want to call on me I know
but everyone else is silent.
Everyone else is waiting for your instruction, hopelessly.
Wishing, hoping you’ll just give them the answer and feed them whatever version of the truth you can muster up!
I see through this ohhhh I see through this.

With a college education I am armed with  knowledge so I can stand up for myself.
I know for one that I have the freedom of speech and can assemble anywhere to converse with like minded people.
So Teach, if you don’t call on me its cool cuz I can start a club after school.

We have a right to protect ourselves people.
And we should do so by arming ourselves with information.
Build a militia around knowing our rights and protecting our youth.
Don’t allow them to be seized for stupid stuff.
Search their book bags and their memories.
Redirect them from being a statistic.
Don’t give the cops “probable cause”, we’re too smart for that.
And they like to issue warrants so be aware.

Don’t relish in jeopardizing your freedom because you feel as though someone is infringing on your God given right of life liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
No let’s get to the bottom of it Brooklyn.
Let’s hold our heads high cuz we say no to cruel and unusual punishment.
No to excessive Bails and fines
And all my right are coming with me even if they weren’t all listed here.
Because I am me and I stand firm for all of us.

Yellow Aura

Id been thrown off my guard

Someone came in and dropped me on my ass

I should’ve been expecting this, or at the very least,

I should stayed suspicious even after he said ‘I like you’

Cuz I was blinded by his light. U know, his aura and shit

At first his light was a deep blue almost like he was just at peace

Seemed cool, down to Earth, mayb a little too laid back

But hey, not all my weed smokers can be Michael Phelps

Then it turned to a red while he was talking about himself

He got real passionate about his novels and artwork

Which is always a good sign, passion is where I need to be

Later on he started emitting a yellow light, which is what blinded me

I got confused, figured it meant nothing since the night was going so well

Then BAM

You know, ladies. I blame ya’ll for this

I don’t know what happened previous to my vagina

But I’m not gonna let mine loose in the world

I don’t want a man to pressure me into sex, or say just what he needs

To basically present to me a replica of the type of man he thinks I want

The realest thugs are just that….100% sho nuff …..Real

Now I wanna take this time to recognize the Yellow auraaura

It represents joy, freedom, one who’s not tied to earthly things

One who enjoys the simple pleasures in life, and he’s staring at me

I’m not one for seduction, but he seduced me

He did all the right things at all the right times

Then transformed just as quickly as his light changed

U know what, You can suck me yellow aura

And to the man with the many hats you can suck yourself
